Artist’s Statement
The obsession of repetition lies at the root of what I do. Created with cut paper, the images appear simple in the execution, yet are visually complex. Working in a circular and repetitive manner, the creation of the piece becomes a visual mantra for me.
Combining manual labor and digital technology, each dot of the piece is hand painted to create the image desired. The paper is archival 100% cotton, and the pieces are hand coated with acrylic medium for preservation. Two dimensional artworks with three dimensional characteristics, viewing each artwork from a different angle gives a new perspective on each piece's depth and texture.
